Packing to move is a drag, and though this is not my house (thank heaven) I still feel unbearably cluttered and disorganized. The kitchen is now packed - which I've decided, makes a move really real - or at least that is how it is for me. I'm down to concocting interesting cuisine for the family with our last remnants of food, and have very few things left to do. And though I am very excited for our new life ahead, I am filled with deep nostalgia and love for the people and this place that has been our home the last four years. I will miss it, I truly will. Last night we went to the farmers market one last time, today I went into the city and had lunch with my old boss to bid a fond farewell - Now things are starting to feel real.

Transitional
This is a pretty accurate depiction of life right now. Our boys are being so good about it too. At least we don't have to watch them while they're in the hot tub now.

Our Happy Little Easter
Every Sunday afternoon we walk around the duck pond, which also has a nice little park by it. Triton in in this anti-shoes-and socks phase
And Bronze has this adorable newspaper boy hat that he is forced to wear at all times. I will miss the constant sunshine here -It has made all of our holidays so happy and fun. But, it would be nice to have it actually cold on Christmas. I guess I'll get my wish this year.Posted by Lauren at 8:11 PM 3 comments

Travis Concert
Last night I went with my friend Candi to see Travis in concert. It was amazing. We had great seats, and even though it was in Berkeley, there was no weed (amazing!) Seriously, it was the most fun I've had in a long time.Candi is from England but was raised for 10 years in Scotland. She LOVED hearing their Scotts accents and quickly picked it up again herself.
And here we are in our after concert sugar highs.
They did a cover of that Katy Perry song, you know the one Im talking about. All day now I've had "I kissed a girl and I liked it!" In my head. I must say I love it when they sing it, but wasn't too crazy about it when it first came out by Katy.
And it was the best concert ever because they not only played my favorite song, "Love will come through," but also many of Candi's favorites too. If you haven't heard Travis before, you should check them out.

Land of the Mountains High

I think its time to announce that we are moving to Utah. Yes, it came as quite a surprise to us as well.
After four years of living in Marin/San Francisco we will be leaving at the end of April. We're looking to buy a house somewhere in Salt Lake County.
We're very excited to have FREE babysitting (thanks to my mom & dad) within a short drive. And I am particularly excited to take classes at BYU versus only online. Also, our favorite restaurant, Bajio, will be there for us 24/7.
We are not excited to be leaving our friends, and of course, the beautiful Marin County. The thought of snow seems somehow ludicrous, in light of the perfect weather we enjoy 358 days a year here. Still, the appeal of snowboarding again out weighs the prospect of shoveling my car out of the snow to actually get to the lifts.
Bay Area Friends: Our doors are always open, so come and visit.
